Training & Development Manager (Passenger Services)

Degree or above Corporate Office

Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to Director, Passenger Services and his/her roles are to plan and execute training programs in line with the company’s strategy and development
  • Develop the training program and the session plans for Training & Development
  • Supervise and monitor staff performance with written report to be made available for the annual staff appraisals, where necessary sit-in staff appraisal interviews
  • Arrange on-the-job training for new hires and assist to conduct induction courses
  • Evaluate instructor performance and the effectiveness of training programs, providing recommendations for improvement
  • Develop evaluation and service audit procedures
  • Confer with management and conduct surveys to identify training needs based on business processes  
  • Develop and organize training manuals and other educational materials
  • Plan, develop and to provide training and staff development programs, using knowledge of the effectiveness of methods such as classroom training, demonstrations, on the job training, meetings with Passenger Services Department, conference and workshops
  • Analyze training needs to develop new training program or modify and improve existing training programs.  
  • Review and evaluate training and mentorship program for compliance with company standards
  • Ensure staff are sufficiently trained with relevant knowledge, including but not limited to DGR, System training, PRMDs, etc. 
  • Train instructors and supervisors in techniques and skills in training and dealing with staff. 
  • Coordinate established courses with professional courses provided by outside institutes or schools and designate training procedures. 
  • Brief all staff on new instructions and requirements
  • Plan and monitor staff deployment to ensure smooth operations
  • Monitor staff performance
  • Monitor training and services standard
  • To comply with all regulations and requirements with regards to health, safety and security set by the Company and relevant authorities while on duty
  • Carry out any other duties as required and directed by the Company

Requirements:

  • University graduate with strong background in airport operations is preferred
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the field of aviation training with at least 3 years in supervisory level
  • With related DG handling Certificate is required
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, planning and organizing skills
  • Good leadership and teaching skills
  • Good stress management skills
  • Ability to work with staff at all levels in a dynamic and challenging environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Experienced in delivering different types of product knowledge and soft skills trainings
  • A Team-player
  • Good command in both written and spoken English
